I dinged it for comfort because while it can be comfortable some days, on others, I can experience irritation and cuts under my glans where the glans ring connects with the cage. I have had one of the three Grips I have purchased to date break, but I think that can be expected given the price point and materials when exposing the device to daily use. Due to the low price point compared to others on the market, I consider The Grip to be a strong value.
The BA-34R is secured by an inner glans ring that clamps down behind the head of the penis when you attempt to pull out. The glans ring is attached to an insert that sits between the ring and cage part. I dinged this cage for comfort because the insert leaves a small gap at the attachment with the ring, and can pinch during certain movement. I purchased the cage in titanium, which is more expensive, but I think it was worth it. The cage is very lightweight while still being very secure. It uses security screws, which are a bit finnicky and can be easy to lose during removal due to their small size. Overall, I would expect that the BA-34R is one of the more secure chastity devices that does not need to be secured by either a piercing, tetherspout or full waistbelt.
My Story
My now-wife, then-girlfriend and I started occasionally playing with chastity near the beginning of our relationship, in the early-2010's as it was always something I had interest in. Over that time, I also developed a porn addiction, often masturbating multiple times per day over the course of hours. My wife was very upset by this bad habit, and I was finding it hard to quit. I decided to propose chastity as a solution for my masturbation problem, this time around taking it more seriously. My wife began holding my key more regularly beginning in 2022 when I started following a schedule of being locked in a cage from morning to night five days per week. This helped, but I was still struggling to control myself on my off-days. Eventually, in January of 2024, I proposed that we move to full-time chastity seven days a week, 365 days a year where she takes my key early in the morning, and unlocks me right before bed. My wife has concerns about me sleeping in chastity, so we have not taken that step yet. We both agreed that I will go at least 20 years without masturbating in order to help avoid a relapse and also as a sort of "sentence" meant to redeem past behavior. Since 2/16/24, I have not masturbated and have honored my promise of chastity. Any time I am able to cum has come within the bounds of our marriage. I am typically let out for a release 3-4 times per week. While I find the idea of long-term denial hot, my goal for chastity at the moment is more so focused around avoiding relapsing back to my porn/masturbation addiction and saving myself for my wife. Chastity has returned huge benefits in my marriage and my overall physical and mental health.
